Change of plans

Dianne and I got a call on Thursday telling us that her oldest son nicknamed ‘JC’ had suffered a stroke that morning.  We quickly repacked our bags for a trip to Oregon to be with him and his fiancé and our granddaughter.  The drive Thursday was smooth and we saw him in the ICU Thursday evening.  He underwent a procedure thru his femoral artery to remove the blood clot in his brain.  The procedure was a success and he was able to talk to us Thursday evening.  He continues to improve ea h day but is still in the hospital as they try and figure out why he had a clot at the age of 40.  He is having scans each day to gather more information.  Hopefully he can go home next week.

Dianne and I will travel to Portugal when we can.  Stay tuned for our upcoming Camino adventures.

  1. Jack/Diane: I am so saddened to learn of JC's stroke at such a young age. He is blessed to have such supportive and loving parents. Please keep us up to date and let us know if we can be supportive in nay way...Marty/Beckie
