Mother’s Day
Today reminded us a lot of the Camino last year where we walked in Spain. There were trails thru the forest and old Roman roads where you could see the marks of the wagons cut over centuries. It was a day of churches both big and small. We said prayers in many of them since it was Sunday and they were open. We saw a lot more pilgrims as we were walking. They ranged from America to Germany to France.
The walk ended over going over another bridge and we were very close to the cars as they sped by. We held on tight to our poles and even grabbed the railing at times when they wind gusted. We were happy to get to it hotel and out of the wind. The hotel was very cute with knights Templar painted on the wall of our room. It looked out over a narrow ancient street. We are downstairs and the food was fantastic. Bom Camino (good camino)!
