Walk Along The Beach
We walked from A Guarda to O Seralloand and the weather was very nice. The high was 65 and sunny but we had a nice breeze.
We walked out of A Guarda which was a nice town with a beautiful harbor. There was a wonderful church in A Guarda where we got our first Compostela stamp of the day. We walked along the shoreline out of town and along the coast. The track was very nice with gravel and some sand. Along the route we had many churches and two where we could get stamped.
The first stop was Perludo at a cantina for Pilgrims. The food smelled but we only had an expresso and Diet Coke. We kept walking along the coast and then we came to Oia which had a wonderful monastery dating back to 1185. It was an imposing structure looking out over a beautiful bay.
The last part of the walk was mostly a gravel road which was quite nice with a breeze coming off the ocean. We saw a wonderful set of buildings during the day and also several small herds of cattle. Some bad horns and some didn’t.
Our hotel overlooks the ocean and is quite nice. We have dinner here tonight before heading to Baiona tomorrow.
Pools are quite prevalent is Spain as I recall. Any foot blister issues or have your shoes and feet served you well without incident. Humbly, would love a few photos of what sounds like marvelous and diverse meals....Marty
ReplyDeleteWe have not had any blisters yet but we are crossing our fingers. We will add some food pictures moving forward.
